Savino, Cory

Cory began the MPP program in the fall of 2010 with the intention to graduate in May of 2012. His primary interest includes education policy, in which he is focused on education reform, lower the achievement gap between urban, rural and suburban school districts, along with modernization of the public school system. In addition to the Masters program, he also plans to get his administrative certificate from the Education Department.

He graduated from Michigan State University in the spring of 2010 with a B.A. in Public Policy. While an undergrad, he did a number of internships with various State Senators. After completing the program, he plans to go into education policy with a number of possibilities, this includes being a policy advisor for a state legislature, working for the Michigan Department of Education, or becoming a principal at a school district.

Cory was born and raised in Novi, Michigan, graduating from Novi High School in the spring of 2007. Outside of academics, he enjoys film, food, and travel.
