Fujiwara, Tetsuya
Tetsuya Fujiwara, originally from Japan, joined this program in the fall of 2003 after receiving a master's degree in applied economics from the University of Michigan. His major fields are comparative politics, methodology, and formal theory. Tets is especially interested in political corruption, and his dissertation project explores the strategic interaction among politicians, parties, and voters in Japan. He has been teaching courses (quantitative analysis, game theory, and policy evaluation) in James Madison College since Fall 2007.
