Wu, Wen-Chin

Wen-Chin Wu started his Ph.D program in August 2007. Having grown up in Chia-Yi, Taiwan, he majored in journalism and political science at National Cheng-Chi University in Taipei. He also received his master degrees in political science at National Cheng-Chi University and in European politics and policies at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, respectively. Between October 2002 and May 2004, he served as an ensign in a warship that was launched in the end of the World War II and decommissioned in 2005.

Majoring in comparative politics, Wen-Chin pays special attention to topics of political economy and political institutions. He is also trained in quantitative methods as well as formal theory. He has translated Prof. George Tsebelis' Veto Player into Chinese in 2009. He is working on his dissertation that focuses on trade liberalization in authoritarian regimes.
