This web site is an information resource for the "Regression III: Advanced Methods" Workshop (First Session, 2005 ICPSR Summer Training Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research). As you can see below, it contains the syllabus, copies of lecture slides, R scripts, assignments, datasets, and links to other interesting and useful sites on the Worldwide Web.
Many of the materials on this site are stored in Portable Document Format (i.e., as "PDF files"). They can be read and printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click here to obtain the latest version of this software (it's free!).
The contents of this site will evolve and expand as the course proceeds through the subject matter. Therefore, you should check it frequently for new material.
Finally, I believe it is important to give credit where credit is due: The content of the Regression III Workshop was developed largely by Robert Andersen, Department of Sociology, McMaster University. Professor Andersen initiated this workshop during the 2003 ICPSR Summer Program and was also the Instructor during the 2004 Summer Program. He is not teaching at ICPSR in 2005 because he is in residence at Oxford University in the UK. Professor Andersen made all of his course materials available to me in order to conduct the Regression III Workshop this year. I am very grateful for his wonderful generosity in doing so!
