Jessica Schoenherr hired at University of South Carolina

Political Science PhD candidate Jessica Schoenherr has accepted a position as assistant professor of public law at University of South Carolina. She will be teaching in Fall 2020.

Jessica Schoenherr joined the Ph.D. program at Michigan State University in 2014. Her primary research and teaching interests are in American political institutions and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her research agenda seeks to advance knowledge about how attorneys influence judicial behavior, and her dissertation specifically focuses on how attorneys use written legal arguments to appeal to Supreme Court justices. She is also interested in Supreme Court confirmation hearings and is working on several projects about attorney strategies and skills.
