Valentina A. BaliVALENTINA A. BALI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University. Bali joined the MSU faculty in 2001. She received her Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2001. Bali’s research and teaching interests focus on education policy, state politics, election administration and electoral behavior, and quantitative methods. Her current projects explore the politics of merit promotion school policies, the effects of the initiative process on state legislators’ reelection chances, and the impact of the Madrid bombings of 2004 on Spain’s subsequent elections. Recently she has taught graduate courses in quantitative methods and masters level courses in microeconomics and policy, and public finance. |
