Caleb Lucas

PHD Student

Caleb Lucas joined the department as a Distinguished University Fellow in the Fall of 2016 to study international relations and research methodology. His substantive interests are broadly related to conflict processes and violent non-state actors. Methodologically, he is interested in predicting civil conflict, text analysis with Arabic, and the use of social media in political science research. Caleb graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a degree in international relations and Middle Eastern studies. During his time at U.K., Caleb studied Arabic in Syria for seven months. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and traveling.
