Evan Adams is a 2014 graduate from James Madison College at Michigan State University with a degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and a specialization in Sociology. Since 2012, he has worked with a variety of nonprofits working toward creating community spaces in underprivileged areas of Detroit, advocating for marriage equality and supporting local civil rights ordinances across MIchigan. In the fall of 2016 Evan entered the MPP Program. He hopes to continue his work supporting legislation that advocates for local LGBTQ civil rights ordinances within Michigan after he graduates. Additionally, he also hopes to continue his work with education, implementing and strengthening educational systems that support at risk youth. Evan is originally from Portage, Michigan and in his spare time he enjoys writing, reading and traveling to visit friends and family.
He hopes to complete the program by the Fall of 2019.
