Jeremiah A. Grant is a linked MPP student, originally from the city of Detroit. He will graduate with his bachelor’s degree in Public Policy in December of 2018. After working with the State House of Representatives, he gained an interest in education policy, which led him to intern with the Office of Planning for the Detroit Public School Community District. Both experiences under great supervisors exposed Jeremiah to policy and the various ways to advocate on behalf of changing all policies. He intends on working within government relations, and one day running for Mayor of Detroit. Jeremiah believes that by learning every component that helps run Detroit, and learning first-hand experience about the associated bureaucracies, he can enact better policies as Mayor of Detroit. He has already begun working with different bureaucracies like the two mentioned before, but also with the Ingham County Clerk’s Office and the East Lansing City Clerk’s Office.
In his free time, Jeremiah enjoys reading and spending time back at home with his family. He occasionally goes fishing and golfing with friends.
