Jessica Schoenherr

PhD Student

Jessica Schoenherr is a Political Science PhD student at Michigan State University where she studies American Politics and research methodology. She came to the program after receiving an undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Jessica’s research focuses on American political institutions, specifically the United States Supreme Court. Her projects include looking at senatorial behavior during Supreme Court confirmation hearings and researching how U.S. Supreme Court merits briefs influence judicial decision-making.
