BIOGRAPHY

Christina Scheller is a PhD student in political science. Her research interests include informal institutions, international development, fragile states, conflict, and political Islam, with a regional focus on West Africa and the Sahel.

Prior to pursuing a PhD, she worked on international assessments for the U.S. Department of Education and on a USAID-funded capacity building project focused on family planning availability. She has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali from 2011-2012.
