Two PLS graduates receive Public Service Awards

MSU PLS is pleased to announce recent graduates Zachary Crawford and Daria Lindquist have been presented with the first Public Service Award by the department.

Daria LindquistDaria was nominated by Dr. Melinda Hall who called her an "exceptional student, academic and volunteer." Daria is a double major with Psychology, graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average in three years. While at MSU, she was active with the MSU United Nations, Moot Court and interned for the 30th Circuit Court, MSU's Adolescent Diversion Program and worked for the Michigan Retirement Services. She earned a full scholarship to MSU College of Law where she will start her studies this fall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Zachary Crawford

Zach Crawford was nominated by Dr. Marty Jordan who first met Zach when he was still a business major.

"He changed his path and went full steam ahead," Dr. Jordan said. "He exemplifies the ability of students to connect the dots between academics and the real world, and put service above self."

Zach majored in Public Policy with a minor in Cities, Environment, Design and Society. He was a member of the MSU Homecoming Court, communications intern with the Executive Office of Governor Whitmer, a Business Place and Development Intern at the Lansing Economic Area Partnership and a Constituent Services intern with the Michigan Democratic Caucus.
