Nia Goins is an MPP student at Michigan State University. She holds a B.A in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University with a minor in Sociology. She has worked for the Anti-Violence Alliance at FSU for the last two years studying interpersonal violence prevention, researching its impacts on marginalized communities. For the last 4 years she has worked at the Office of Multicultural Student Services at FSU assisting with campus event programming and student organization leadership. She is most interested in urban policy and racial justice. After graduation Nia plans to continue her research and lend a hand in cultivating diversity, equality and inclusivity around the nation.
