Rally to Take Back Science

MSU PLS Associate Professor Nazita Lavejardi will be speaking at this year's March for Science at the state capitol building.

As part of nearly 30 rally locations nationwide, the Rally to Take Back Science will bring together scientists, health professionals, students, and community advocates to call for an end to political interference in America’s scientific enterprise, and for decision-making grounded in evidence and the public interest.
In Lansing, community members will gather at the Michigan State Capitol on March 7th, 2026 at 1 PM to defend scientific integrity, evidence-based public health policy, and to demand action against political interference in government science and public health.

Speakers include:

• Alyssa Green (IBIO, EEB; fish evolution grad student)
• Dr. Nazita Lajevardi (Political Science; censorship and misinformation)
• Dr. Chaz Hong (School of Medicine; cancer biology, bench-to-bedside)
• Nadia Vizueta (newly added, comms for Police and Public Safety and breast cancer survivor)
