On Friday, March 22nd, Haining Du will be defending his dissertation, "A Collection of Essays on the Backlash against Globalization, Automation, and Deindustrialization," at 10am EDT via zoom and in room 323.
Haining Du entered the Political Science Ph.D. program at Michigan State University in the fall of 2017 to study International Relations and Comparative Politics. He received his BA in history from Southwest University in Chongqing, China. Before joining the program, he was a middle school teacher in Shanghai. His current research interests are domestic politics and international behavior, authoritarian politics, and political culture. In his free time, he loves scuba diving, traveling, action movies, rock music, comics, and sci-fi.
