The next PLS Five Things to Know series will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about the 2020 Presidential Primaries with Associate Professor Matt Grossmann.

Dr. Grossmann is Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research, a senior fellow at the Niskanen Center, and FiveThirtyEight contributor.  His books include The Not-So-Special Interests, Artists of the Possible, Asymmetric Politics (with David Hopkins), and Red State Blues.  His research focuses on policy change, interest groups, representation, political parties, and political campaigns.  He is also host of The Science of Politics podcast and is the director of the Michigan Policy Network, which is an outlet for MSU undergraduates to report on their research on Michigan policy.
