This week's Michigan Government Semester Program Spotlight is Andrew Thatcher, who is interning with the City of Lansing Clerk's Office.
Thatcher is a senior majoring in Political Science (Pre-Law) and minoring in Law, Justice, and Public Policy at Michigan State University. He was on the varsity bowling team at his high school and he was also a member of the community service group ‘Huskies with Heart’ for three years. He has previously interned with former State Senator Mat Dunaskiss. Andrew is interested in making reforms to the criminal justice system and may even want to run for elected office someday. He enjoys playing video games with his friends and is a huge movie lover.
