MSU PLS graduates receive Board of Trustees' Award for Academic Excellence

During its April 22 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented a record-breaking number of graduating seniors with the Board of Trustees’ Award, recognizing their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive, a 4.0 GPA.

In addition to being recognized by the Board of Trustees, students also will be acknowledged during their individual commencement ceremonies in May and will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments. 

The MSU Political Science students who received recognition are:

  • Alyssa M. Bellini: Political Science-Prelaw, College of Social Science. Bellini is from Macomb, Michigan and attended Chippewa Valley High School.

  • Alexander D. Birkle: Public Policy, College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. Birkle is from Ann Arbor, Michigan and attended Saline High School.

  •  Michael T. Breslin: Political Science, College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. Breslin is from Oak Forest, Illinois and attended Marian Catholic High School.
  •  Kelsey M. Reichert: Political Science, College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. Reichert is from Rockford, Michigan and attended Rockford Senior High School.
