BIOGRAPHY

Emmah Bashir is a second-year Master of Public Policy student at Michigan State University. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Before entering the MPP program, Emmah worked as a Teaching Assistant for Jackson Public Schools, supporting students with special needs in inclusive classrooms. While pursuing her MPP, she interned as a Student Assistant with the Michigan Department of Education’s Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability, gaining valuable experience in data analysis and policy research. After graduation, she hopes to continue working in Michigan to improve educational outcomes for marginalized students.
