BIOGRAPHY
Mia Buckley is a graduate of Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills, Mich. and is now majoring in Political Science Pre-Law.
"My academic interests center on the Supreme Court of the United States and the broader judicial system, particularly how judicial decision making shapes public policy. I am especially interested in the factors that influence Supreme Court decision making, including the legal, attitudinal, and strategic models of judicial behavior. Additionally, I am interested in the role of political context and public opinion, as well as how court decisions are implemented by lower courts and governmental institutions.
Following graduation from Michigan State University, I plan to attend law school and pursue a career within the legal and public service fields. I am increasingly interested in clerking for a Supreme Court justice after law school and hope to continue exploring judicial politics and constitutional law through research, mentorship, and professional experience."
