Matt is specializaing in American Politics, specifically focusing on the U.S. Supreme Court. His research interests include judicial decision making, judicial ideology, and studying judges as people.

BIOGRAPHY

Matt Cota (he/him) joined the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University in the fall of 2022. Matt is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota and received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. In his free time, Matt enjoys trail running, camping, and playing guitar with his band.
