BIOGRAPHY

Darryl Ervin is a first-year Master of Public Policy student at Michigan State. Darryl earned his B.A. in Accounting at Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. Born and raised in Detroit, he is a married father of three and currently serves in the Michigan Senate as a legislative aide to State Senator Stephanie Chang, representing District 3. Darryl is the founder of SLS Detroit, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people in Detroit. His policy interests center on education, affordable housing, and economic development, and he is committed to advancing opportunities and equity throughout the city and state.
