BIOGRAPHY
Paige Haight joined the Political Science Ph.D. program in the fall of 2022. Her research interests include policy development, implementation, and administration. Additionally, she enjoys behavior research and experimental research designs. Currently her work focuses on the effects of compliance monitoring systems on state implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA), and how compliance shapes feedback within the policy process at the federal level. Paige is an MSU alumni who received a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in Program Evaluation and Political Science. Ms. Haight is also a Research Associate at Public Policy Associates (PPA) in Lansing, Michigan where she conducts evaluation research on federal, state, and local level programs. Her work specializes in policy branches that include workforce development, education (higher ed and K-12), criminal and juvenile justice, and healthy communities (food and housing systems). Prior to working on her Ph.D., Ms. Haight assisted Dr. Kaston Anderson with the ACES lab at MSU where they conducted research to help understand how social determinates of health contribute to the inequality among underserved populations; and investigated community factors that facilitate positive social and environmental change.Degrees
