"At MSU, I have participated in research within the PLS Department focused on the shift of rhetoric in US presidential speeches since the 1950s. I also have a strong desire to research the impact of politics on families, particularly with increasing political polarization. Since coming to East Lansing, I have volunteered with MSU Safe Place, which has furthered my interest in relationship education and how policy can affect survivors. In my post-grad, I plan to pursue a JD with a focus on survivors' rights. As an attorney, I plan to work in Domestic Violence Prosecution, working within the justice system to increase support for survivors and help victims receive the justice they deserve."
