Nicholas Hess is an MPP student at Michigan State University. He holds a B.A. in both Economics and Political Science from Michigan State University. Prior to attending the MPP program, Nick worked as an economic research analyst as well as a research analyst, specializing in automotive market research and forecasting. During his time at Michigan State, Nick worked as an Intercultural Aide for the Office of Culture and Academic Transitions and completed an independent study on US monetary policy. His policy interests include welfare policy, immigration, energy regulation, and competition regulation. Upon graduating, Nick hopes to work on policy analysis for nonprofit think tanks or government officials.
