BIOGRAPHY

Harnoor Kaur is a graduate of the Carmel Convent School in her hometown of Chandigarh, India. She is studying Political science and Criminal Justice with minors in Peace and Justice Studies.

"I’m really passionate about issues relating to human rights, prison reform and police brutality. I would want to attend law school for criminal law, and hopefully go on to work for the United Nations and the International Court of Justice. I hope to intern with the Human rights Commission back home in India next summer and understand better the consequences the existence of a caste system had on Human rights. I would like to use my degrees in criminal justice and political science to not only study the justice system, but also what the elected officials of our government do to address those issues. I strongly believe that we must not rest until all of us, every single one of us is able to live without the fear of being different in their beliefs, faiths, religion, gender, sexuality, or race."
