BIOGRAPHY

Benjamin Lowen is a graduate of Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, MI. He is majoring in Public Policy with minors in Environmental Social Science; Cities: Environment, Design, and Society.

"I am passionate about environmental protection, urban politics, and community resilience. I spent a year of national service with FEMA Corps in emergency management and currently work for Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

After graduating I intend to pursue master’s level work in public policy focused on addressing climate change, while continuing my work with the state and federal government."
