Mariana Medina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science. She received her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011 and has previously taught at Iowa State University (2011-2013) and Texas Tech University (2013-2016).
Mariana’s teaching and research interests primarily concern the political economy of migration with a particular emphasis on high-skilled immigration policies, remittances, emigration, and US immigration policy. She also has interests in foreign direct investment, international trade, and Latin American politics.
