BIOGRAPHY

Emma Pinson graduated from Little Miami High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is now majoring in Political Science Pre-Law with minors in Law, Justice, and Public Policy as well as Philosophy and Law.

"As a child whose parents had a very “messy” divorce, I saw how the wants and needs of children aren’t always properly advocated for in court. As a result, I developed a strong desire to be a family lawyer to spark change, ensuring that children are properly represented and that their safety and happiness are not lost in the conflicts of the adults around them. However, after developing a rare autoimmune disease, losing my hearing, and facing continuous disappointment from insurance companies, I have realized that I want to be an advocacy lawyer of any sort. As a lawyer, I hope to properly represent those whose voices are ignored and hold others accountable. I am unsure of whether that is a family lawyer, a dispute lawyer, a civil litigator, or even a prosecutor, but I hope to use the experience I gain from this program to assist in my future decisions."
