BIOGRAPHY
Matthew J. Ritter graduated from Traverse City Central High School and is majoring in Political Science Pre-Law & Economics (BA) with a minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy
"I am interested in studying the intersection of law and politics, particularly regarding sustainability policies, natural resource protection law, and environmental justice. I'm looking forward to working on research focusing on protecting Michigan's biodiversity and measures to protect communities disproportionately affected by pollution.
I plan to attend law school in 2026 and obtain a JD, specializing in land use, climate change, and energy law. After law school, I would like to become an environmental attorney for the EPA, The DOJ, or an Environmental non-profit."
