Sofia studies American Politics with a minor in Public Policy, complimented by a certificate in Chicano and Latino studies. Her research interests focus on the Supreme Court, particularly on how the Courts affects the Latino population in the U.S.
BIOGRAPHY
Sofia joined the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University in Fall 2023 to study American politics. She is a Southern California native, which is where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, along with the completion of a minor in Psychology. This degree was achieved with the honor of Summa Cum Laude from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Additionally, Sofia graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Michigan State University in May 2025. When she is not researching the Supreme Court, Sofia enjoys watching movies and taking care of animals..
