Hyerin Seo is a doctoral student at Michigan State University. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics and a M.A. in Political Science from Seoul National University. Currently interested academic subject is democratization and civil movements. Especially looking into how ordinary public create their own political ideas when existing authority breaks down and the oppositional power arises, and how it affects the democratic transition.
