Sophie Sunderland's research interests focus on African politics, specifically parties, party systems, and clientelism. She is also a current research assistant for Afrobarometer.

BIOGRAPHY

Sophie Sunderland joined the department in Fall 2023. A Florida native, Sophie earned both her B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida, with focuses in Latin American and African politics.
