BIOGRAPHY
Lia Turner is a first-year Master of Public Policy student at Michigan State University. She graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2025 with a B.A. in Political Science, Economics, and Spanish Literature & Language. As an undergraduate, Lia was an active member of the Society of Women in Economics (SWIE) and served on the Policy & Research Committee for GirlUp Michigan. Currently, Lia is a legislative intern for State Representative Morgan Foreman, where she is gaining hands-on experience in policymaking and constituent services. Her policy areas of interest include social welfare, education, and urban development. As a lifelong Michigander, Lia is passionate about shaping policies that make educational and economic opportunities in the state more equitable and accessible for all citizens.
