BIOGRAPHY

Rahsun H. Watson is a first-year MPP student at Michigan State University. He graduated from Michigan State University spring of 2023 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science Pre-Law and a minor in Race and Ethnicity in the U.S. Rahsun's academic journey has been underscored by a deep commitment to addressing social inequalities and fostering positive change. He has interned at Okemos Legal group who offers free legal clinics to underserved communities with low economic opportunity. Rahsun also has been able to serve in many organizations whose mission is serving and giving back to communities such as MSU Gospel Choir and MSU B.U.L.A. Looking forward, Rahsun is poised to take his passion and drive to the next level. Rahsun aims to equip himself with resources, knowledge, and networks necessary to effect meaningful change, with a goal to close the racial achievement gap in education and reform our justice systems. He envisions the Master’s program as a gateway to connecting with like-minded individuals, mentors, and experts who share his aspirations and can collectively work towards creating a more equitable future.
